Garmin G5 :)

when our artificial horizon started failing we were quoted more that 1000$ to have it fixed. We decided to instead, throw out the vacuum system and replace the AH and DG with a Garmin G5.

To busy flying ;)

Our vacuum driven horion has given up. We will remove that, the directional gyro and the complete vacuum system this winter and replace it with a Garmin G5. :D

We are always doing it on our 320 Cozy3 after having had the prop removed. Lets put it this way: it is the difference between being able to use the head rests or not on longer flights ;)

I would not worry to much about wiring... there are plenty of Go-pro or similar cameras on the way with WIFI control and transmission... just have a place in the panel for an iPAD or similar...

A free castering nosewheel combined with rudders that have no propwash over them can lead to lots of braking being needed to...

Handelsbanken, one of the larger Swedish banks. Most banks over here provide VISA/MC cards with an uploaded personal picture on it for a small fee.

3rd hand informtion say that the cause of the problem was some clutch part in the gearbox that failed. :-/
