Re: Prop

Make sure of your actual horsepower before you talk to them. Craig gets complaints all the time from people who say his prop is bad when, in fact, they quoted the wrong numbers to him in their...

Re: Landing brake on the nose gear

I you stop fast enough you won't hurt much. And the repair is pretty simple.

Re: Landing brake on the nose gear

Thank you John.
Seems there is an irrational fear of the infamous nose dragger landing in canards. Usually by those with little time in type. After one happens and one responds correctly (get on...

I had to get moving so bought a D10 EMS...

Re: Does prop color matter

They gave you a lame excuse for their error. No change in the rule. Proper balance is that exact. They could have missed the blob but made up for it in final balance which comes last before...

What do they use your avgas taxes for?
How often do they raise the ATC fees?

Our FSS privatized and was miserable for quite some time but finally got better. Glad to hear yours works well. The...

Re: Compression

Dave,
I asked Craig Catto about why I could run my 150 hp O-320 to past redline (2700) at 11500'. He wondered why I cared. Said he ran one at 3000 for 2000 hours. Dave Ronneberg just explained to...

Compression

Well, just got back from a visit to Lycon and they seem to believe, with a load of experience to back it up, that 10:1 is just about the standard for a performance engine and will last just as long...

Carb Heat

I know there seem to be more builders than flyers here, but thought I'd ask anyway. I've been flying my EZ for going on 7 years and 700 hours now and have never used carb heat in any conditions. ...
