Hmmph.
Nuh uh. No pissing here. Just flushing.
But don't fret. There's a "Just plane stupid comments and conversations" Section which is perfect for this kind of stuff. We can take it there. I was dying to comment on the offshoot thread too, but discretion yada yada yada.

(I bet you text message at the theater too.)

Yes - Merry Christmas to all... and goodwill to all men ...and women... and lawyers (My daughter will become one in May )

Don't get me started on software piracy. I once demonstrated our successful software product to the heavy hitters at Microsoft while looking for funding. We didn't get the funding. Instead, six months later, many of its unique features appeared in Visual Basic which was launched at $39 with a $30 million budget. Our product immediately died. Thanks guys.

The difference between a gun and a lawyer is that guns don't create the laws of physics, lawyers create laws. The trial lawyers assoc is the single largest PAC to contribute to Democrats, law is the #1 profession for future politicians, and not because suing over spilled coffee provides unique insight into the Constitution.

To be on a House or Senate Judicial Committee, you have to be a lawyer. Plus lawyers who graduate to the black dress get to make case law, and often with complete disregard for the Constitution and the wellbeing of the country.

Legal ethics have warped into pure selfishness "do whatever you have to do to win for your client", even if the client is a scumbag and you can help him win by hurting innocent people (legally), or even if you got your client by trolling for him. Lawyers trolling for clients are one of the reasons why vaccine production is going offshore and why new medicines cost so much- a drug that saves a million but hurts one can generate a lawsuit that will suck away all the profit- as if it would really have been better if 999,999 had gone without.

OK, guys. It's Christmas, so a little leeway is in order, but now lets talk about airplanes...

Chris - I just saw your pictures in fly-rotary - how about posting them somewhere around here. That turbo shield looks interesting... better resolution images, please.

Navmonster is back! From the site -

Good news! You spoke (in volumes!) and we've listened.

We got all the lawyers and programmers together from both sides, and after some good discussions, an understanding has been reached. No more patent infringement worries.

Thanks for all the well wishes and words of encouragement. Safe flying.

Yeah...they've definitely got a racket going. The more lawyers we have...the more lawyers we need, and the more we need lawyers.

A bit like like heroin in that respect.

Yeah ..... it's usually just a matter of pointing out the patent violation and negotiate a license fee and life goes on. Usually these things get blown way out of scale.

Anybody remember the Napster mess?
