They say the Accelerometers aren't good enough for aviation use, but I'm getting one anyway. The moving map, sectionals, airport info etc. will be useful, and I need it for work anyway.

I've got an iPad and some of these apps. I like them but only for reference. The accelerometers blow for aviation use.

Ed, does it mean you would not use it at all? I was just thinking it would be a great addition as a moving map/IFR chart, weather reference and something to keep your copilot involved. Not a complete replacement for an aviation EFIS like Dynon. The iPad also can do so much more when you go to the hotel for the night. Most of the people are buying it anyway for every day use.

No, No. I would totally use it as a chart, map, airport, etc reference. The only real limitation I see for those types of app is that the iPad screen is horrible in bright sunlight.

The only thing I would never use it for is something like the iHud.
